Will there be car parking available at the new stadium?

Arrangements for Cowboys game-day parking at Queensland Country Bank Stadium will be different to 1300SMILES Stadium. With on-site car parking to be mainly limited to service vehicles, members and fans will be encouraged to take advantage of public transport and CBD parking.

What’s the plan for public transport?

A comprehensive traffic and transport management plan is under development by the stadium project team in conjunction with Townsville City Council and the Department of Transport and Main Roads. Details will be released as the planning process progresses.

Will there be a public park & ride service?

The new stadium’s southern plaza and entry will lie adjacent to an integrated bus hub, and it is anticipated that a park and ride service will also bring patrons to and from the venue via this access point. It is expected that details will be released in due course with the traffic management plan from Townsville City Council and the Department of Transport and Main Roads.

I had a car park pass for the 2019 season – will I get first preference to get a car park in 2020?

Arrangements for Cowboys game-day parking at Queensland Country Bank Stadium will be different to 1300SMILES Stadium. With on-site car parking to be limited to service vehicles only, patrons will be encouraged to take advantage of public transport and CBD parking with a short walk from the city centre. Any updates to car parking arrangements will be provided as available.

The Queensland Country Bank Stadium is a joint project of the Queensland Government, Australian Government and Townsville City Council and is supported by both the National Rugby League and the North Queensland Cowboys. The stadium forms part of the Townsville City Deal signed in December 2016.
