Coen Hess has been named the new North Queensland Toyota Cowboys membership ambassador for the 2025 season.
Stepping into a new role is nothing new for ‘Hessy’ who is set to represent the club’s growing membership base in a milestone year.
Born in Bundaberg and playing most of his junior rugby in Mount Isa, Hess embodies the Cowboys’ vast regional footprint and the passionate supporters that fill the stands week after week.
“I’ve been lucky enough to grow up in places where the Cowboys mean so much to the community,” Hess said.
“To now be representing those people, and our entire member base in this new role, is a real honour.”
Hess steps in for departing winger, Kyle Feldt, who was named as the membership ambassador back in 2019.
Sidelined with an ACL injury for the 2024 season, Hess will also be making his highly anticipated return to the field in 2025.
“I can’t wait to get out there and give it my all for our members and fans again,” Hess added.
“The energy they bring to Queensland Country Bank Stadium is something else.”
“Every game day, you can feel the passion from the stands, and knowing we have such a supportive membership makes a huge difference to us players.”
As the Cowboys gear up to celebrate 30 years in the NRL, Hess is excited to help strengthen the bond between the club and its supporters, engaging with long-term members and welcoming new fans into the fold.
“There is something special about being a Cowboy,” Hess said.
“No matter where you are from, whether it’s a big town or small town, this club brings people together.”
