In a nod to the club’s 30th anniversary, the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys will kick off the 2025 season in a new jersey, with a familiar feel from years past.
Launched today, the Cowboys 2025 Home and Away Jerseys pay homage to the club’s inaugural team from 1995, bringing back the iconic design made famous by the side led out by inspirational captain Laurie Spina close to three decades ago.

Replicating the team’s inaugural kit featuring the famous grey stripes, the 2025 season will also see the Cowboys return to wearing a predominantly white home jersey, just like in 1995, after sporting a primarily navy kit at home for the last few seasons.

Sitting proudly on the chest, a standout feature of the jersey is the club’s 30th anniversary logo, paying tribute to the club’s three decades of representing the North Queensland region on the biggest stage, whilst the upper back features the three different logos that have been used by the club throughout the Cowboys history.
The club would also like to recognise major partners, Toyota, Bravus Mining & Resources, YETI and TAFE Queensland for working closely with the Cowboys and apparel partner, Dynasty to create a unified design to give due recognition to a significant milestone for the Cowboys and North Queensland region.
For Cowboys CEO Jeff Reibel, the jersey is a fitting tribute to the club’s anniversary year,
“Ahead of a landmark 30th anniversary year for our club, we wanted our jersey to honour our foundations,” he said.
“Seeing our current playing squad run out onto the field in these fantastic jerseys for the first time, donning the same jersey as our inaugural team led out by Laurie Spina, and worn by club legend and Life Member Paul Bowman for his Cowboys debut, will no doubt see us take a moment to savour how far we’ve come.”
“The kit looks fantastic, and really gives an opportunity for our brand and our partners to shine. Our 30th anniversary provides a great chance to recognise the supporters and partners who have helped shape what our club has become today.
“Our principal partner Toyota stands proudly on the front of the jersey, as it has since 2003 in the longest standing principal partnership for an Australian based NRL side, whilst the playing shorts continue to feature XXXX, who have supported our club since the very beginning as our original principal partner” he said.
“We have seen the popularity of the retro jerseys amongst our members and fans and have brought back the original design for one-off occasions throughout our history, but to see the squad week in and week out putting on the same kit as our foundation team will be something special.”
The 2025 jerseys feature a new collar, blending contemporary elements with the classic retro collar design, whilst being made from apparel partner Dynasty Sport’s cutting edge Ecotek fabric, which is made from ethically sourced recycled plastic bottles.
