Trio recognised with Cowboys Way Award

Jake Granville, Alisha Foord and Henry Teutau have been named 2024 Cowboys Way Award winners at tonight’s North Queensland Toyota Cowboys Presentation Night.

Granville took home the NRL award in his final season at the club.

The Cowboys Life Member has always been revered for his toughness over his decade-long career at the club, but he may have saved his most phenomenal acts for his final season.

Granville played more than 70 minutes with a torn bicep in the famous Round 13 victory over the Roosters and in what would be his final game as a Cowboy, played until half time with a ruptured pec against the Tigers in Round 22.

Foord’s appetite for hard work both at training and in games has seen her forge a reputation as one of the Cowboys’ fiercest competitors. Foord was also lauded for the resilience she displayed after picking up a season-ending thumb injury in Round 3.

As one of the most experienced players in the Young Guns program, Teutau was asked to take on a leadership role in 2024. He drove standards consistently on the training paddock during the season and also excelled on the field where he was a member of the Townsville Foley Shield-winning team and also represented QLD Country.
