Cowboys to farewell 15 departing players

The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys will farewell seven of its NRL squad and eight NRLW squad members at Monday's Presentation Night at the Townsville Entertainment and Convention Centre.

Life Members Kyle Feldt and Jake Granville headline the departing NRL class, which also includes Valentine Holmes, Chad Townsend, Kulikefu Finefeuiaki, Jodeci Baker and Jai Hansen.

Feldt’s 217 appearances rank seventh on the Cowboys all-time list, while Granville’s 207 sits ninth.

Holmes finishes his Cowboys career with 98 appearances for the club, while Townsend appeared in 70 and Finefeuiaki 37. Baker and Hansen did not appear at NRL level.

Queensland State of Origin representative Shaniah Power headlines the departing NRLW players, which also includes Shellie Long, Harata Butler, Jetaya Faifua, Sareka Mooka, Vitalina Naikore, Lavinia Tauhalaliku and Jazmon Tupou-Witchman.

Power and Mooka were members of the inaugural NRLW squad in 2023 and before that, members of the 2022 BMD Premiership-winning North Queensland Gold Stars outfit.

Mooka’s 12 Cowboys appearances are the most of the departing group, with Long, Faifua and Naikore registering 11 games, Power 10, Butler and Tauhalaliku four and Tupou-Witchman one.
