North Queensland Toyota Cowboys Head Coach Todd Payten has named his five State of Origin stars on the reserves list in an extended 24-man squad for Sunday’s battle with the Bulldogs at Queensland Country Bank Stadium.
Valentine Holmes, Tom Dearden, Jeremiah Nanai, Reece Robson and Reuben Cotter will be assessed upon their return to North Queensland on Thursday, with a decision to follow regarding their availability to face the Bulldogs.
Murray Taulagi remains sidelined with a hamstring injury and has been replaced on the wing by Braidon Burns.
Jason Taumalolo will make his 270th appearance for the Cowboys on Sunday evening, equalling Matthew Bowen for the second most in club history, trailing only Johnathan Thurston (294).
