North Queensland Toyota Cowboys Head Coach Todd Payten has named an extended 24-man squad, including all six Origin representatives, for Saturday’s clash with the Warriors at Queensland Country Bank Stadium.
The Cowboys will make a decision on the availability of the Origin stars, who have been named in the reserves, following their return to North Queensland on Thursday.
Sam McIntyre has been named at hooker, following a bicep injury to Jake Granville, which is expected to sideline the veteran for up to six weeks. Granville suffered the injury in the opening exchanges of Sunday’s win over the Roosters.
Tom Chester returns from a hamstring injury on the interchange and shapes as a valuable and versatile option for Payten in a week which six of his biggest stars are set to appear in State of Origin.
Saturday’s game kicks off at 5.30pm
