Cowboys.com.au are providing an in-depth positional analysis of the 2024 North Queensland Toyota Cowboys squad. We continue the series with the hookers, led by Origin dummy-half Reece Robson.
>>> Part 1: Fullback
>>> Part 3: Halves
Jake Granville (205)
The Cowboys cult hero could have been listed in almost any position in this series, but dummy half remains his preferred slot. Granville spent much of 2023 playing as a running forward, although he is still the main back-up for Robson. Granville needs just five appearances to reach 200 for the Cowboys, which triggers automatic life membership.
Reece Robson (96)
Firmly established as one of the top hookers in the NRL, Robson was rewarded with a NSW State of Origin debut in 2023. The 25-year-old punches out 80 minutes every week and is one of the most important players on the roster for North Queensland.
Jai Hansen (0)
The Rockhampton product enters his second season in the top squad. Hansen made four Queensland Cup appearances last season and will be looking to solidify a starting spot at that level in 2024.
