Harvey Norman Queensland Maroons Game II squad named

Queensland Rugby League has today announced the Harvey Norman Queensland Maroons squad for Game II of the women’s State of Origin series to be played in Townsville.

There is one change to the 17 that took the field for the opening game in Sydney last week, with China Polata named to make her Origin debut for the Maroons in the highly-anticipated series decider.

Polata comes in on the wing for Julia Robinson, who is serving a one-match suspension following the Maroons’ 18-10 win over the New South Wales Sky Blues.

Polata: 'I'm still striving for a Queensland jersey'

With Polata moving from the extended squad into the starting team, Maroons coach Tahnee Norris has called on the experience of Tallisha Harden as the new 18th player.

The Maroons will arrive in Townsville next Friday to step up preparations for the June 22 clash at Queensland Country Bank Stadium.

The team will hold an official fan day at The Strand on Saturday, June 17.
