Fijian duo Vitalina Naikore and Merewalesi Rokouono have agreed to multi-year NRLW contracts with the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys.
Naikore and Rokouono are the 27th and 28th signings for Ben Jeffries team, completing the squad for the club’s inaugural NRLW season.
A lightning quick winger, Naikore has agreed to a three-year deal after two stellar seasons with the Fijiana Drua Super-W team, who won back-to-back Super-W premierships in 2022 and 2023. The Fijian international is a prolific try-scorer and sharpshooter in front of goal.
Rokouono, better known as ‘Marcoz’, has signed a two-year pact with the Cowboys. She is a teammate of Naikore at the Drua and international level with Fiji. A talented playmaker with a polished passing game and booming boot, Rokouono is expected to push for a Round 1 starting half spot, but can also play centre and fullback.
“We are excited to secure two Fijian internationals to finalise our squad,” Cowboys NRLW Head Coach Ben Jeffries said.
“Both Vitalina and Marcoz have played key roles in consecutive premierships for the Fijiana Drua, experience which we believe will be invaluable to our young group here at the Cowboys.”
