YETI quench Cowboys thirst for hard-wearing coolers and drinkware

Iconic adventure brand YETI is the official Cooler and Drinkware Partner of the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys.

The multi-year partnership kicked off at Coach Todd Payten’s notorious pre-season training camp this week, with YETI to supply a range of hard-wearing drinkware and cooler products to the squad.

YETI will also feature as a Match Day Partner during the 2023 season, at a Cowboys home game to be announced.

Cowboys Chief Commercial Officer Ross Aldridge said the club’s partnership with the fast-growing adventure brand was a ‘natural fit’.

“As the northern-most team in the National Rugby League, our blistering summer temperatures and suffocating humidity are a unique aspect of the Cowboys’ training regime,” Mr Aldridge said.

“In fact, the squad’s training efforts last year at our Far North Queensland camp, along with morning runs up Townsville’s Castle Hill were credited as reasons why the team had a high level of fitness heading into the season,” he said.

“That’s why our partnership makes so much sense. YETI coolers are tough, hard-wearing and adaptable to harsh environments, which makes them a perfect companion for our squad.”

YETI Commercial Country Manager, Australia and New Zealand, Tim Persse, said YETI’s promise to its customers was to ‘deliver best in class products with no compromises’.

“Serious outdoor enthusiasts need gear that will help them stay out longer, travel farther and live harder - our products are built to do just that,” Mr Persse said.

“Our drinkware, coolers and outdoor gear are built to last in any environment and North Queensland is a great example of how our product outperforms no matter how challenging the conditions,” he said.

“The Cowboys will push our products to the absolute limit and YETI is up to the challenge. We are really proud and excited for this partnership and are stoked to show support in regions that mean a lot to our brand.”

Founded in 2006, YETI has quickly amassed an international following, including legendary ambassadors from the competitive fishing, hunting, rodeo, surf, snow and barbeque communities.
