Five key stats from Saturday's finals win

We take a look at some of the key stats to come out of Saturday's win over the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks.

The number of tackle breaks by Scott Drinkwater, the most by a Cowboy in a game since Kyle Feldt had 12 against Cronulla in Round 15 last year. The 25-year-old also added 231 metres and a try assist in the two-point win.

The number of tackles by Reuben Cotter at an efficiency rate of 98.3%. The 23-year-old played 83 minutes in the middle, running for 182 metres on 22 runs to go with 61 post-contact metres. Cotter’s 60 tackles was second only to Cronulla hooker Blayke Brailey’s 68.

The number of post-contact metres Jason Taumalolo ran for, his second match of at least 100 metres this season. The 29-year-old also added a try, 270 metres and 42 tackles in 82 minutes.

The number of metres Peter Hiku ran for in the win over Cronulla, the most by a Cowboy in a game since Jason Taumalolo hit 345m in a win over the Bulldogs in Round 2, 2020.  Hiku's 314 metres is the fourth highest individual total in for the NRL in 2022.

The number of metres the Cowboys ran for in Saturday’s win, the most by any team in a single match this season. Peta Hiku (314), Jason Taumalolo (270m) and Scott Drinkwater (231m) led the way for the visitors.
