Griffin Neame has agreed to a two-year contract extension to remain at the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys through the end of the 2025 season.
The 21-year-old has emerged as one of the most exciting front row prospects in rugby league this season.
Neame debuted late in 2021, but has solidified himself as a first grade regular in 2022, appearing in 20 of a possible 23 games.
Neame came through the Cowboys New Zealand Academy before moving to North Queensland prior to the 2019 season.
A Junior Kiwi representative in 2019, Neame graduated to the Cowboys NRL squad in 2021.
“We’re thrilled with the way Griff has continued to improve over the last two years,” Cowboys General Manager of Football Micheal Luck said.
“As a young front rower we’ve been impressed with how he has adapted to the weekly grind of the NRL. His performances have been consistent and there has been incremental improvement every week, which is what our coaching staff have asked of him.
“He’s a great member of our squad and a terrific young bloke. We’re really pleased he’s agreed to stay on with us for a further two seasons.”
