Luciano Leilua is set to make his North Queensland Toyota Cowboys debut in Saturday’s blockbuster XXXX Derby against the Broncos at Queensland Country Bank Stadium.
Leilua arrived in North Queensland last week after securing a release from the Wests Tigers and has been named on the interchange for the Broncos clash. The game also marks the 100th NRL game for the 26-year-old.
All Cowboys players involved in last weekend’s Representative Round have been named to face Brisbane by Cowboys Head Coach Todd Payten.
Tom Gilbert returns from an eye injury in the second row, while Coen Hess starts in the front row with Reuben Cotter still sidelined with a hamstring injury.
Star winger Kyle Feldt remains a chance to return from a knee injury after being named in the reserves. Feldt has been sidelined since the Round 11 victory over Melbourne.
Saturday’s game kicks off at kicks off at 5.30pm.
