Cowboys continue to build resilience throughout Cairns
The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys were proud to reach nearly 3,000 students and more than 250 teachers across six Cairns schools as part of the continued rollout of The Resilience Project, thanks to North Queensland Primary Health Network. A week long program of presentations, delivered by The Resilience Project Founder Hugh van Cuylenburg set up students and schools starting the program this year. The jam packed schedule culminated in a community night with more than 200 attendees hearing stories told by Hugh championing the program pillars of Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness, as special guest Michael Morgan even dropped by.
North Queensland Cowboys respect and honour the Traditional Custodians of the land and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and future. We acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on the lands we meet, gather and play on.
