North Queensland Toyota Cowboys co-captain Chad Townsend is set to make his 200th NRL appearance in Saturday’s showdown with the Parramatta Eels at Darwin’s TIO Stadium.
The 31-year-old has made an immediate impact in his first season in North Queensland and was named captain before playing a game for the club.
On top of his seven appearances for the Cowboys, Townsend made 146 for the Sharks and 46 for the Warriors over the course of 12 NRL seasons.
Cowboys Head Coach Todd Payten has named an unchanged 17 for the Eels clash.
Scott Drinkwater remains at fullback after a terrific performance in the victory over the Titans.
Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow has been named in the reserves for the second consecutive week as he nears closer to returning from a knee injury. The 20-year-old will again be monitored at training throughout the week with a decision to be made on his availability later in the week.
Saturday’s game kicks off at 7.05pm (7.35pm QLD).
