North Queensland Toyota Cowboys Head Coach Todd Payten has named an unchanged 24-man squad for Saturday’s battle with the Roosters at Queensland Country Bank Stadium.
Coen Hess left the field after just 10 minutes in Sunday’s XXXX Derby victory over the Broncos with a shoulder injury, but scans showed no structural damage.
The reigning Paul Bowman Medalist has been named in the front-row to face the Roosters, but will need to pass a fitness test later in the week.
Prop Jamayne Taunoa-Brown is set to return from a knee injury suffered in Round 1. Taunoa-Brown has been named in the reserves, but has been cleared to play by Cowboys medical staff.
Reuben Cotter holds his spot on the interchange after a brilliant return from a hamstring injury against the Broncos. Cotter entered the game after just 10 minutes due to Hess’ shoulder injury and ran for 164 metres in 60 minutes on the field.
Saturday’s game kicks off at 6.35pm
