Cowboys’ Chief Commercial Officer Ross Aldridge said the three-year partnership will shore up a 29-year relationship between the club and Australia’s largest entertainment company.
“This long-term commitment to the Cowboys is a superb outcome for regional rugby league fans who rely on SCA’s broadcast and digital platforms to follow our progress throughout the season,” Mr Aldridge said.
SCA partnership nears three decades
“Led by its Triple M and Hit Networks, SCA’s unwavering support of the Cowboys for nearly three decades has ensured our brand has remained in the hearts, minds and living rooms of regional communities across northern Australia.”
SCA Townsville and Mt Isa General Manager Shane Jurgens said the partnership would see SCA continue as the exclusive commercial radio partner of the club, leading into a blockbuster 2022 season.
“We’re kicking off the season with a bang, with CK and Carley to take the helm as ground announcers at Queensland Country Bank Stadium for all 12 home games,” Mr Jurgens said.
“Footy fans throughout the North will also hear all the behind-the-scenes action, courtesy of Cowboys’ Winger Kyle Feldt’s weekly on-air reports with his teammates,” he said.
“We’ll also be rallying Cowboys fans in the HIT Sky Deck again this year, enjoying our unimpeded vantage point of the field from the top tier of the Western Grandstand all against the backdrop of city views, live music and footy food.”
Under the partnership, fan-favourites the Cowboys Call Team, Field of Dreams program and game day giveaways will also continue.
“Northern Australia is the heartland of the Cowboys and we’re deeply proud to have played a role in this long-term legacy for the club,” Mr Jurgens said.
SCA will broadcast the Cowboys’ season-opener against the Bulldogs on 13 March on the Triple M network.
