The North Queensland Toyota Gold Stars have announced their 2022 satellite squads ahead of March’s QRLW season kickoff.
Consisting of 70 of the brightest female talent in North Queensland, the three bases (Cairns, Townsville and Mackay) are made up of returning Gold Stars, Harvey Norman Under 19s players and development prospects.
With an average age of just 21-years-old, the extended squads will train through until early January, when a three-day camp will be held in Townsville to reduce the group to 30 players.
More than 60% of the three squads identify as Indigenous, with several players having already been scouted as possible Indigenous All Stars ahead of next February’s fixture in Sydney.
