Cowboys trio ruled out of Tigers clash

North Queensland Toyota Cowboys skipper Jason Taumalolo has been ruled out of Saturday’s clash with the Wests Tigers after scans confirmed a hand fracture stemming from Sunday’s game against the Titans.

The injury is on Taumalolo’s left hand, but is a different break than the one suffered in the week leading into Round 6.

Taumalolo sustained the injury carrying the football in the 30th minute of Sunday’s loss to the Titans, but in a courageous effort was able to finish the game.

The 28-year-old will be assessed early next week to decide his availability for Round 23.

Winger Murray Taulagi and prop Lachlan Burr will also miss the Tigers clash through concussion.
