Veteran North Queensland Toyota Cowboys utility Ben Hampton has been named to return from a long injury lay off for Friday night’s XXXX Derby against the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium.
Hampton has been sidelined since early May after suffering a torn pec against the Warriors in Round 8.

His inclusion on the interchange is the only change to Todd Payten’s 17 from the four-point defeat to competition leaders Melbourne last weekend.
Jake Granville remains at fullback following his sensational debut performance at the position at the age of 32.
Granville was a late replacement for teenager flyer Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, who remains sidelined after undergoing an emergency appendectomy last week.
Kane Bradley also retains his spot on the wing after a promising NRL debut against the Storm.
Kyle Feldt is set to become the 17th player to appear in 150 games for the club on Friday night. Already the club’s second-highest try scorer, Feldt will join an illustrious group including club legends Johnathan Thurston, Matt Scott, Matt Bowen and Gavin Cooper as well as current teammates Jason Taumalolo and Jake Granville.
Friday night’s game kicks off at 8.05pm.
