Cowboys team list: Indigenous Round v Warriors

North Queensland Toyota Cowboys prop Coen Hess and teenage centre Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow have been named to return from injury in Friday night’s Cowboys Deadly Choices showdown with the Warriors at Queensland Country Bank Stadium.

Hess missed the victory over Newcastle after suffering a concussion against the Roosters at Magic Round a week prior. The five-day turnaround between games automatically ruled Hess out of the Knights clash, but he has been cleared to return to face the Warriors.

Tabuai-Fidow has been sidelined since undergoing syndesmosis surgery after the Round 5 triumph over the Wests Tigers.

The 19-year-old will return at centre, replacing Connelly Lemuelu who had surgery on a fractured thumb today. Lemuelu is set for a six-week stint on the sidelines.

Peter Hola will make his first NRL appearance of the season on Friday night. Hola has been in strong form for the Northern Pride in the Queensland Cup and will start from the interchange alongside last week’s debutante Heilum Luki, Jake Granville and Corey Jensen.

Justin O’Neill is also closing in on a return from injury. O’Neill has been sidelined since sustaining bone bruising to his knee in the previous encounter with the Warriors in Round 8.

Friday night’s game kicks off at 6pm.
