Four North Queensland Toyota Gold Stars youngsters have been named in the two Queensland Under 19s squads for the 2021 Women's National Championships later this month.
Edge forward Zoe Cook and middle forward Jordii Mahendrarajah have been named for the Queensland Rubys, while edge forward India MacPhee and outside back Jasmine Peters will line up for the Queensland Sapphires.
Gold Stars head coach Gavin Lloyd will lead the Sapphires, assistant Marco Peters will be part of the Rubys' coaching staff, while Liam Bartlett will look after strength and conditioning for both squads.
The National Championship is a major event on the women's rugby league calendar, with both the New South Wales and Queensland Under 19s women's squads to be selected following the four-day event (May 20-23).
Earlier this month, fullback Romy Teitzel, hooker Emma Manzelmann and edge forwards Shaniah Power and Rangimarie Edwards-Bruce were all selected in the Maroons extended squad.
