Welcome back North Queensland!

At 5pm on March 20th, the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys will open the gates at Queensland Country Bank Stadium to both fans and members for the first time in more than a year!

After a blockbuster opener at their new home on Friday, March 13, 2020, the club was forced to close the gates to fans during the height of the covid-19 pandemic and then had to restrict attendees to members-only to comply with Queensland Health capacity limits.

With capacity now at 100% for the start of the 2021 season, it is with great excitement that the club welcomes back both fans and members for their opening clash against the St George Illawarra Dragons (kick-off 6:35pm).

After having to scale back on-field activities throughout 2020 due to pandemic-necessitated protocols, the Cowboys are thrilled to announce that some new faces as well as returning crowd-favourites will form part of our game day entertainment.

Jay and Dave from Triple M Mackay’s morning show will join the Cowboys family as the club’s new on-field announcers. The duo, who have been hosting the region’s premier morning breakfast program for more than a decade, will bring their energy, banter and love for footy to their duties as hosts of numerous segments pre-match and at half-time.

Returning for his twelfth season is Glenn ‘Minty’ Mintern who will be joined by the club’s mascots Bluey and Miss Moo, as well as our cheerleaders, the Cowboys Spirit, and the Push Up Boys – all guaranteed to fire the crowd up!
