Junior Cowboys too strong on the Gold Coast

A team of junior North Queensland Toyota Cowboys contracted players defeated the Titans 14-6 in an under 18s clash on the Gold Coast last Friday afternoon.

Mackay fullback Rayden Burns and Cairns second-rower Heilum Luki both crossed for the junior Cowboys, with Luki being named the man of the match.

The team is made up of members of the Cowboys Elite Pathways program, a group made up of 15 to 18-year-old rugby league talent from across Queensland and New Zealand.

The program has produced the likes of current first graders Michael Morgan, Coen Hess and Jake Clifford, with participants receiving regular football and personal development training from Cowboys Elite Pathways coaches.
