NRL team list: Round 12 v Titans

State of Origin commitments and injuries have forced North Queensland Toyota Cowboys head coach Paul Green into making a host of changes to his 21-man squad for Sunday’s showdown with the Titans on the Gold Coast.

Justin O’Neill will remain on the sideline indefinitely after suffering a spleen injury last weekend, with skilful utility Mitch Dunn to replace him in the centres.

Young half Jake Clifford returns to the side for his first NRL action since Round 7, replacing the Origin-bound Michael Morgan at halfback.

Jordan McLean will captain the club for the first time alongside Gavin Cooper in Morgan’s absence.

Scans have also confirmed prop Matt Scott will miss 3-6 weeks due to a shoulder injury, with experienced forward Scott Bolton returning to the side.

Coen Hess has been named in the second row after a groin injury forced him to be a late withdrawal against the Raiders.

Prop Corey Jensen has been named to make his first NRL appearance since Round 5. Jensen, who has been in strong form for the Townsville Blackhawks in the Queensland Cup, is joined on the interchange by middle forward Francis Molo, hooker Kurt Baptiste and second-rower Shane Wright.

Young middle forwards Peter Hola and Emry Pere and outside backs Enari Tuala and Javid Bowen make up the reserves.

Sunday’s game kicks off at 4.05pm
