North Queensland Toyota Cowboys centre Justin O’Neill suffered a severe spleen injury in yesterday’s victory over the Canberra Raiders.
O’Neill was admitted to Canberra Hospital and underwent a procedure on Sunday afternoon.
He is expected to remain in Canberra for a week while he recovers.
