Variety Learning Centre officially opened
The official opening of the Variety Learning Centre at NRL Cowboys House Girls Campus was marked by a special dinner hosted at the House, where it was also announced that Cowboy Jake Clifford would be the Charity's ambassador.
Cowboys Community Foundation Director Fiona Pelling, Cowboy Jake Clifford and Variety CEO Steve Wakerley attended the dinner at the girls' campus.
Students from the girls' campus gave a tour of their home before dinner, showing Variety supporters around.
The tour gave visitors a unique look into the purpose-designed and culturally respectful environment created at the girls' campus, which opened this year.
After dinner, everyone joined in to celebrate the official opening of the Variety Learning Centre, funded by the children's charity to provide students with access to tutoring and learning support outside of the classroom.
The opening included the presentation of a framed poster, filled with inspirational and important messages for the young women studying in the Variety Learning Centre.
Variety CEO Steve Wakerley reads out some of the messages written by Variety supporters who contributed donations to the learning centre - each encouraging the young women to never give up on their dreams.
