The Queensland Rugby League recently announced a new name for the Women's State of Origin team - the Harvey Norman Queensland Maroons.
It was a bold move for the QRL - with Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk saying the decision to formally identify the State Women’s Rugby League team as the Maroons was important for equality in women’s sport.
Before the major announcement, the QRL invited some players to RLCQ for a photoshoot and to unveil the new name, logo and jersey.
