In-form Asiata set to start

North Queensland Toyota Cowboys head coach Paul Green has promoted John Asiata to the starting line-up to replace superstar lock Jason Taumalolo for Saturday night's clash with the Cronulla Sharks at Southern Cross Group Stadium.

With Taumalolo serving a one-game suspension, Green has turned to Asiata to fill the No.13 jersey against Cronulla.

Asiata has been in strong form since returning from a long injury layoff in Round 18, splitting time between the starting side and the interchange.

Speedster Gideon Gela-Mosby holds his spot on the wing after a promising season debut against Brisbane last week.

The 20-year-old showcased his blinding turn of foot to swoop on a Te Maire Martin grubber to open the scoring and was solid carting the ball out of his own end.

Forward Francis Molo has been named to make his first appearance in the top grade since Round 16, replacing Asiata on the interchange.

After missing last week's win over Brisbane through concussion, Shaun Fensom has been named on the reserves alongside forward Ethan Lowe, half Kyle Laybutt and outside back Enari Tuala.
