Townsville local and North Queensland Toyota Cowboys member David Browning is the latest winner of the 50-50 Charity Raffle, a game-day fundraising initiative that supports the Cowboys Community Foundation and its programs.
The winning ticket was announced by loudspeaker before the end of the Cowboys vs Raiders game and left David feeling slightly shocked.
"When the announcement was made I sat there and thought to myself, hold on a second, my name is David," he said.
As the lucky winner of the raffle David walked away with a cash prize of over $2,000, although it wasn't a potential prize that prompted the ticket purchase.
We very much support what the Cowboys Community Foundation does, it's a key reason we support the Cowboys.
The 50-50 Charity Raffle isn't the only program David supports under the Cowboys Community Foundation – he also volunteers as a tutor at NRL Cowboys House, which provides life-changing opportunities for some of the most disadvantaged students in the country.
The Cowboys Community Foundation is working to improve employment, health and social outcomes for young North Queenslanders through education-based programs.
Congratulations David, and thanks for your support!
You can purchase a 50-50 raffle ticket through the 50-50 volunteers at the next home game, or online at 5050charityraffle.com.au/cowboys on game day.
