Future North Queensland Toyota Cowboys squad member Carlin Anderson is in contention for the Queensland Cup’s prestigious XXXX People’s Choice Award.
Currently playing for Cowboys feeder team the Townsville Blackhawks in the second-tier competition, Anderson has been rewarded for a stellar season with the club and is his team’s 2017 nominee.
The 21-year-old Gympie product signed a two-year deal with the Cowboys in April on the strength of his strong start to the Queensland Cup with the Blackhawks.
And with one regular-season round remaining plus a looming finals series, the young fullback remains one of the form players of the competition.
He leads the Queensland Cup‘s points-scorers’ tally with 218 points from 20 tries – the third-best in the comp – and 69 goals.
