The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys were excited to be part of 2016 Townsville NAIDOC Week, 3-10 July, which recognised the contribution of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians to our community and country.

The Cowboys community team (pictured at bottom) participated in the NAIDOC march to Riverway on Friday, before enjoying the festivities of the Townsville NAIDOC Deadly Day Out, featuring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural performances, cultural art and craft and other activities.

NAIDOC (National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Day Observance Committee) Week is a celebration of significant reconciliation and closing the gap process between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people by promoting understanding, acceptance and harmony, regardless of cultural background.
