After moving through the local round, North Queensland Toyota Cowboys Spirit cheerleader Zahnee Stout is hoping recent on-field success will be mirrored off the field when she moves to the next stage of this year's Big League Cheerleader of the Year competition.

Zahnee will appear in this Thursday’s round 16 issue of the popular rugby league magazine – available at newsagents and at the Cowboys v Sharks game at 1300SMILES Stadium this Saturday – where she goes head-to-head with Eels cheerleader Maddy.

Zahnee has progressed through to the next stage of the competition after making it through the intra-club round in March.

It was the Eels who were defeated by the red-hot Cowboys in round 13, that victory marking the North Queensland club’s 10th straight NRL win.

Since then, the Cowboys have added an 11th win to their record streak following Saturday’s round 15 triumph over the Raiders in Canberra.

Zahnee will be hoping for another dose of Cowboys spirit to get her over the line against Maddy.

YOU get to vote for Zahnee to progress even further into the competition.

For Zahnee, 21, the best thing about being part of the Spirit – proudly sponsored by Ribs and Rumps – is the support and confidence she gains and being part of a tight community.

As well as cheerleading, Zahnee is studying nursing at James Cook University and also volunteers for community and charity events.

Her favourite rugby league moment was Matt Bowen’s last game for the Cowboys, and her favourite Cowboys player is Glenn Hall.

To cast your vote, text ZAHNEE to 19 992 220 and you'll be in the draw for the major prize – a return trip for two to the 2015 NRL Grand Final with accommodation and flights all included.

You must include your name, suburb and email address when voting. Each SMS costs 55 cents (including GST).

Voting starts on Thursday 25 June and closes at 11.59pm on Monday 29 June.
