NRLW Shining Star membership 2024 season 

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

These Terms & Conditions apply to NRLW Shining Star membership. 

These Terms & Conditions do not apply to full season membership, multi-game membership (Flexi 4, Home Star, Distant Star) or NRL Cowboys supporter memberships (Super Star, Rising Star, Dual Cowboys Maroons), which are available to read here.

These Terms & Conditions don't apply to 2025 membership.

Prior to the start of the 2025 season we will email you with the terms and conditions that will apply to 2025 membership, should you choose to join or renew. 

The terms and conditions will also be readily available on our website.

In these Terms & Conditions, we will refer to the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys as ‘us’, ‘we and ‘our’. We will refer to a a member in these Terms & Conditions as a ‘member’, ‘you’ and ‘your’.

By applying for membership, you acknowledge and agree that you have read and understood these Terms & Conditions and that each other member listed in your membership account has read and understood or will comply with these terms and conditions.

Nothing in these term and conditions amends, limits or excludes any rights or remedies that a member may have under the Australian Consumer Law which cannot lawfully be amended, limited or excluded.

If you proceed with membership, you agree that you understand and accept these terms and conditions.

Permitted use

 1. Consumer memberships may only be used for non-commercial (personal) purposes by the Account Holder only.

2. Use of Consumer membership products for any commercial purpose is prohibited, unless by exception expressly pre-approved by us.

3. A commercial purpose is any activity with the intent to gain commercial advantage of any kind, including marketing promotions (including prizes), market research, consumer data collection, stakeholder or community engagement, educational purposes or awareness campaigns.

4. Re-sale of Consumer membership products for commercial purposes, either in full, or separated into match tickets or member benefits (i.e. Cowboys Team Shop voucher), is strictly prohibited.

5. Any member found to be using a Consumer membership for a commercial purpose, or having granted a third party to use their membership for a commercial purpose, will have their membership immediately cancelled without offering a refund, and any future applications for membership refused.

Membership entitlements

6. Membership categories for the 2024 season are explained on our website.

7. Different entitlements apply to different membership categories and the entitlements may change from season-to-season. We may also change the name and/or price of membership categories, or introduce new categories, from season-to-season. 

8. By purchasing a membership, you become a member of the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys for the period of that membership.2024 membership relates to the National Rugby League Women's (NRLW) season but is current for our Club’s ‘financial year’, which is 1 November 2023 to 31 October 2024.

9. As a member, you can enjoy applicable membership benefits (such as discounts on merchandise) during the whole of the club’s financial year for the membership (not just during the playing season).

Access to NRLW Cowboys Home Games

11. NRLW Shining Star membership includes reserved seats for two people at Queensland Country Bank Stadium for NRLW Cowboys v Dragons (4 August 2024), v Knights (21 September 2024) and Tigers (7 September 2024).

12. To access these games, you will be required to download your digital membership card to your smartphone and scan it at the turnstyle in place of a physical ticket. 

13. You will be emailed information about how to download your digital membership card within a few days of joining. 

Overview of renewal process for NRLW Shining Star memberships

14. NRLW Shining Star membership is not part of our Rolling Renewal (automatic renewal) process; this is because NRLW Shining Star membership is dependant on the NRLW Season draw which changes each season.

15. If you purchase NRLW Shining Star membership for the 2024 season, to 'renew' you will simply need to purchase an NRLW membership of your choice for the 2025 season.

16.We will email you prior to the start of the 2025 NRLW season with information about NRLW membership products available for purchase. 

Paying for membership

17. NRLW Shining Star membership can be purchased using a credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express). Visa or MasterCard debit card.

18. You should only apply for membership if you are the card holder or with the authority of the card holder. If you are not the card holder and you apply or have applied for season membership, you represent and warrant to us that you have the authority of the card holder to do so.

Opting-out of membership

19. Because NRLW Shining Star membership is dependant on the NRLW Season draw,  this membership can only be renewed if the member pruchses a new NRLW membership for the 2025 season. To opt out, simply do not to purchase a membership.

20. To prevent any follow up reminders from us, you can also advise us of your decision to opt out at any time, which must be in writing to membership@cowboys.com.au or by post to PO Box 1411, Townsville, Qld, 4810. 

21. Notifications to opt-out of membership cannot be given verbally (i.e. over the phone or at our reception desk).

General terms

22. All prices set out on this website and these term and conditions are GST-inclusive.

23. Memberships purchased after any 2024 home games for the NRLW Cowboys at Queensland Country Bank Stadium will not be priced on a pro-rata basis and will be charged at the full membership price published on the website unless otherwise offered by us.

24. On joining, you will be offered seats in what we consider to be the best available seats remaining in your membership category (i.e. allocation is on a “first-in, first-served” basis). 

25. This membership is only valid for NRLW Cowboys home games at Queensland Country Bank Stadium in 2024 listed in the membership inclusions. Access is not guaranteed for any other event or venue, including the NRL Finals series - tickets must be purchased separately through the ticketing provider for these events.  You agree to comply with the terms of the ticket issuer for those events.

26. Refund of membership is not permitted for change of mind or for changes in personal circumstances.  Where a member has a right to a refund under the Australian Consumer Law, a refund will be provided.  

27. If we grant a full or partial refund, we reserve the right to ask for the return of any membership merchandise supplied to you as part of a membership package.

28. If we grant a full or partial refund but you are unable to return your membership merchandise, we will deduct the cost of the merchandise from the refund amount.

29. The club has a Hardship Relief Request policy which outlines the process regarding a request by a member for payment relief or a refund because of changes in either personal or macroeconomic financial situations. Please contact the membership manager via email on membership@cowboys.com.au to request an application form if required.

30. All members agree to the terms of entry of Queensland Country Bank Stadium as may be amended by the owner or operator of Queensland Country Bank Stadium from time to time.  We reserve the right to suspend or cancel your season membership, including season tickets, if you breach the terms of entry of Queensland Country Bank Stadium, breach the Cowboys Members & Fans Code of Conduct or have been removed by security or police from Queensland Country Bank Stadium.

31. We may cancel part or all of an event to which your membership applies (including games and other events) (“Cowboys Event”) if an event outside our reasonable control occurs that impacts or may impact on the relevant Cowboys Event including, but not limited to, fire, storm, flood, tsunami, earthquake, explosion, war, invasion, rebellion, sabotage, epidemic, pandemic (including the Covid-19 pandemic), government intervention or orders (whether mandatory or recommended), labour dispute, labour shortage, failure or delay in transportation and act or omission of any third person (including the NRL, subcontractors, customers, governments or government agencies) (each such event a “Force Majeure Event”). If a Force Majeure Event occurs that affects a Cowboys Event, or the ability for a Cowboys Event to be held, we will use reasonable endeavours to notify you. However, where the event is sudden or last-minute, this may not be possible. While we do not offer refunds for Cowboys Events cancelled in whole or in part due to Force Majeure Events, before or after the Force Majeure Event occurs, we will contact you about whether the affected Cowboys Event will be rescheduled or what other options we may be able to offer to you.

32. We are not the owners or operators of Queensland Country Bank Stadium. We do not make any representation or warranty that your seat at the stadium (whether reserved or unreserved) will be unaffected by any of the Force Majeure Events referred to in clause 45 that may occur before, during or after a game or event. You acknowledge and agree that such Force Majeure Events are beyond our control and may impact on your enjoyment of, or ability to watch, an event or game.

33. The North Queensland Toyota Club’s primary means of communication is email however we may also need to contact you by phone or other methods about matters relating to your membership. 

34. You must proactively inform us of any changes to your contact details and make sure your contact details are complete and correct.

35. When you join as a member, you consent to receiving:

a. club updates and offers;

b. sponsor and partner offers; and

c. NRL ticketing offers (see clause 56-58, below).

36. You can unsubscribe or change your preferences for the types of emails you receive by following the link to the preference centre at the bottom of any Cowboys’ email.

37. From time to time the NRL releases tickets to members of all NRL clubs for a variety of events – including State of Origin, International Tests, NRL Finals series and the NRL Grand Final – prior to those tickets going on sale to the general public. These offers are subject to their own terms and conditions and these Terms & Conditions do not apply to those events. 

38. The Cowboys does not make any representation or give any warranty on behalf of the promoter of those in relation to these. Purchase entitlement codes are required to secure tickets for these types of events. These offers will be communicated electronically.

39. NRLW members are entitled to second priority access to State of Origin tickets and NRL tickets. Second priority is defined as access to a buying window prior to general public on-sale but following the full season ticketed members (first priority) buying window. Your email address must be supplied to receive notification of the buying window and you must be subscribed to NRL ticketing offers.

40. It is a condition of financial membership that members give consent to Cowboys Rugby League Football Limited, its affiliates and agents, to use their image and likeness and/or any interview statements from members in its publications, advertising or other media activities (including the Internet), without compensation or other remuneration, now or in the future. 

41. By signing up for a membership, you provide this consent, and you represent that any others on whose behalf you are obtaining a membership (e.g. family members) also give the same consent.

42. We will need to collect personal information from you and persons on your membership account (such as your name, age and contact details). In providing this information to us, you agree to the terms of our privacy policy, which you can view here: Privacy Policy

Papua New Guinea Australia Post Delivery Suspended

43. At the commencement of the 2024 NRL season, Australia Post have advised Papua New Guinea does not have a delivery service for parcels from Australia. 

44. For the delivery of membership merchandise packs for members based in Papua New Guinea, these members will be given the choice of:

A) providing an Australian delivery address for their merchandise pack

B) nominating a date to collect their merchandise pack from Cowboys HQ at the Hutchinson Builders Centre, 26 Graham Murray Place, Townsville QLD Australia before the last home game of 2024 

C) choosing not to receive a members merchandise pack

D) opting out of membership.

45. If a member chooses not to receive a members merchandise pack due to the above postal restrictions, no discount will be offered on the price of membership.
